Our soaps are made with natural ingredients. We do not use chemical dyes or perfumes. Trevor’s need for simple, gentle ingredients inspired these choices. The scents come from essential oils and the colorations come from natural dyes. Because our soaps do not contain preservatives in commercial soaps, we recommend using them within six months of purchase.
Typical ingredients include coconut oil, palm oil, safflower oil, glycerine, purified water, sodium hydroxide (saponifying agent), sorbitol propylene glycol (made from vegetable glycerine), sorbitan oleate (emulsifier), oat protein, titanium dioxide, and essential oils. Some soaps contain goat’s milk.
Handcrafted soaps have a naturally high glycerin content. Glycerin attracts moisture and if soap is left in water, your soap bar will quickly dissolve. Extend the life of your artisan soap by allowing your soap to breathe, not leaving it submerged in water, and resting it on a well-draining soap dish. Keep unused bars in a cool, dry place out of direct sunlight. Because our soaps do not contain preservatives in commercial soaps, we recommend using them within six months of purchase.
