Trevor’s need for simple, gentle ingredients inspired the decision to only use natural ingredients. All Trev’s Trades soaps are free from chemical dyes and perfumes. We only use natural soap bases. The scents come from essential oils and the colorations come from natural dyes. 

 

Typical ingredients include coconut oil, palm oil, safflower oil, glycerine, purified water, sodium hydroxide (saponifying agent), sorbitol propylene glycol (made from vegetable glycerine), sorbitan oleate (emulsifier), oat protein, titanium dioxide, and essential oils. Some soaps contain goat’s milk. 

 

Handcrafted soaps have a naturally high glycerin content. Glycerin attracts moisture so if our soaps are left in water, the bars will dissolve more quickly. Extend the life of your artisan soap by allowing it to breathe, not leaving it submerged in water, and resting it on a well-draining soap dish. Keep unused bars in a cool, dry place out of direct sunlight. Because our soaps do not contain preservatives, we recommend using them within six months of purchase.
